Innovation into Action Programme

From the European Association for Palliative Care in collaboration with Global Treehouse

In palliative care, some of the most transformative changes happen when a clinical team or a community that delivers care listens to colleagues, patients and their families. They try something different and care gets better.

The Innovation into Action Programme is designed to recognise such teams who have made a difference in palliative care and showcase their stories at the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) World Congress in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom in May 2027.

If you have developed a solution for meaningful, impactful change and put it into practice, we want to hear from you and your team.

Why Apply

The Innovation into Action Programme provides two entry pathways to showcasing your work internationally. Shortlisted finalists for both awards will be invited to present live at the EAPC World Congress in Glasgow, in front of the international palliative care community.

Winners will benefit from exclusive opportunities to engage with global communities and professional networks, increase the visibility of their winning innovations through various channels and access valuable support to amplify their impact.

Winners for both awards will be announced at the closing ceremony at the EAPC World Congress.

European Association for Palliative Care Innovation into Action Award

For clinical or frontline teams who have identified a real need in care, grounded in the experience of patients, their loved ones or staff and changed practice as a result. Technology is welcome but not required. A new conversation model or a redesigned pathway is just as eligible.

Global Treehouse Paediatric Digital Accelerator Award

For digital and AI solutions that could improve the care or support for babies, children and young people with serious illness, their families or the professionals caring for them. The award is open to solutions that may have been developed within paediatric palliative care or can be adapted to paediatric palliative care.
